White Privilege Conference – 2011 in Minneapolis

This information come from Vanessa Julye at FGC regarding a discount for the White Privilege Conference taking place in Minneapolis, April 13-16, 2011.  If you pre-register through FGC for the White Privilege Conference in order to receive up to 50% off the regular registration fee (regularly $315, but for a large group of Quakers, just $144).

More info is at <http://bit.ly/FGCWPCFFI> about the discounts and the conference itself.

In order to get the discount from FGC, FGC staff and local volunteers from the Quaker community are encouraging Friends to pre-register so local volunteers can gather some information from you that the WPC doesn’t need (like transportation and housing requests).

Shortly after you pre-register, you’ll receive the discount codes to use, and instructions on navigating the WPC form. It takes some time to read through the WPC information and I want folks to have time to look it over well before the March 15 deadline for early registration–and for the lowest discounted rates.

In addition, the hotel for the conference is already beginning to fill.

I want to encourage folks to pre-register:  it will help FGC track numbers and get a feel for how close (or far) we are to reaching our goal of 60 Friends.

Please consider pre-registering by March 7 to take advantage of this national conference that is happening in the Twin Cities this spring!  <http://bit.ly/FGCWPCFFI>
